The Jigsaw Project supports Knowsley families with at least one child or young person with additional needs, disabilities or neurodivergence. No diagnosis is necessary.
We provide a range of support, information, advocacy and opportunities for families to connect with others who understand the challenges and joys of raising a child with additional needs.
Our support includes:
- Jigsaw Sensory Tots – Weekly sensory-focused parent/carer and toddler sessions for young children with additional needs.
- Jigsaw Sensory at The Pride – Weekly sensory play sessions held every Friday during term time from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Northwood Family Hub at The Pride, providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for children and their families.
- SEND Parent Support Drop-Ins – Access advice, information, signposting and practical support from Home-Start Knowsley and our partner organisations. Families can receive guidance on EHCPs, sleep, behaviour, sensory needs, school support and SEND pathways.
- One-to-One Support – Tailored emotional and practical support, advocacy and guidance to help families navigate services and access the right support.
- Jigsaw Families – Family activity days during school holidays, providing opportunities for fun, connection and shared experiences.
- Jigsaw Saturdays – Fortnightly Saturday family sessions offering inclusive activities for children, young people, siblings and parents.
- Peer Support Opportunities – Connect with other parents and carers who understand your journey, reducing isolation and building confidence.
The Jigsaw Project works closely with local partners including 0-25 Health, Autism Advisory Team, Education Psychologists, SENDIASS, Portage and other SEND professionals to ensure families receive joined-up support when they need it most.
